I’m not proud of you selling awards to the highest bidder – Says Blakk Rasta as he returns his “paid” RTP awards

The singer cum presenter had earlier stated on countless occasions that he doesn’t believe in awards that is given to the “highest bidders,” including the annual Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards.
His comment is said to have been rebutted by the award scheme’s CEO, Prince Mackay who told the journalist to return the plaques if truly he did not believe in them.
In reaction, Blakk Rasta in an official letter to the scheme alleged that awards that are paid to win fall short of merit and decency.”
Unlike the days when he used to be happy receiving them, the seasoned presenter says “I am of the new consciousness that these awards which were and are still based on paying to vote to win awards were/are a way of SELLING the awards to the HIGHEST BIDDER.”
He want the scheme to delete his name and records from their books because he is not proud having paid awards to his credit.
“I am not proud of this and, I wish to return these plaques and have my name expunged from your records,” he said.
He finally issued a caution to the organizers to desist from nominating his name for their awards in the coming years of they refused to change.

Dear sir/Madam
RETURN OF AWARD PLAQUES
I write to return the award plaques given to me over the years during your awards. Sir, I am of the new consciousness that these awards which were and are still based on paying to vote to win awards were/are a way of SELLING the awards to the HIGHEST BIDDER. I am not proud of this and, I wish to return these plaques and have my name expunged from your records. Much as I appreciate your effort in appreciating people, this falls short of merit and decency. ask respectfully that you desist from nominating me in the future unless this unfortunate criterion changes to TRUE MERIT AWARDS standards.
