Handcuffs are released for a 32-year-old from Lecce who allegedly repeatedly mistreated his parents under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

The man, with a criminal record, was arrested in the late afternoon of June 6 by the policemen of the Flying Section of the Lecce Police Headquarters and accompanied to the Borgo San Nicola prison.

Responds to allegations of extortion, attempted and consumed, mistreatment in the family.

In the past few hours, the investigating judge Angelo Zizzari validated the arrest of the 32-year-old and confirmed the prison sentence, as requested by the prosecutor Maria Consolata Moschettini , due to the existence of serious indications of guilt and the risk of recurrence of the crime.

During the hearing, assisted by the lawyer Alessandro Stomeo , the suspect answered the judge’s questions and essentially denied the charges. He admitted using threatening expressions, but denied any violent behavior. Not only that, since he claimed to have made requests for money against his parents, for small sums, with the intention of getting back the money that belonged to him. This version of events was deemed unreliable by the judge.

According to what was reconstructed by the investigators, the 32-year-old from Lecce, under the influence of alcohol and drugs , would have forced his parents, with a series of death threats, to give him variable sums of money every day, between 30 and 50 euros, for the purchase of cocaine. And in one circumstance he allegedly slapped his father.

In particular, on June 6, the 32-year-old allegedly insulted and threatened his father with death, so much so that the parent left the house, only to return when the police arrived.

Not only that, because the young man allegedly threw an iron bottle opener at his mother who luckily managed to dodge the blow.

The policemen, following the report of a family dispute, went to the scene.

And the 118 personnel were called in , as a relative of the 32-year-old accused of illness. However, the man’s anger did not subside, as he continued to squirm and intimidate his family.
