The first stage of the international Beach Soccer championship, hosted in the San Cataldo Beach Arena on 2 and 3 June, ended with Brazil’s victory over Italy. France finished third after getting the better of Argentina.

For the second consecutive year, the Lecce navy enters the Beach Soccer circuit , an important sporting event organized by Italia Beach Soccer, headed by Maurizio Iorio, which will be broadcast in mid-June on Sky Sport .

A selection of players from Italy, Brazil, Argentina and France will challenge each other. Among the Italians: Angelo Di Livio, Max Tonetto , Antonio Chimenti, David Di Michele and Gennaro Del Vecchio. A special match took place on Saturday morning which saw the All Stars of Lecce Calcio on the pitch, including Giacomazzi, Jeda and Chevanton , the latter protagonist in the penalties which decreed the victory of the team in the white jersey.

The Lecce stage of the International Beach Soccer Tour was promoted by the Municipality of Lecce with the support of Pugliapromozione.
