A worker was seriously injured in an accident at work in Castignano. The man was transferred to the Trauma Center of the Torrette Hospital in Ancona to undergo medical treatment. The carabinieri and the staff of the prevention and safety service are investigating the dynamics of the accident.

A young worker was the victim yesterday morning of a bad accident at work that took place yesterday morning in Castignano. The man was carrying out his duties using a grindstone. In carrying out the operation something must have gone wrong and the work tool unexpectedly ended up on the man’s arm causing a serious injury to his wrist. So the worker suddenly started losing blood. The intervention of the 118 health workers was immediately requested, who went to Castignano to the scene of the accident in a few minutes.

Evidently the injury suffered by the worker was particularly serious and worthy of the attention of specialists in this type of physical damage. For this reason they asked for an air ambulance to arrive in Ascoli to transfer the injured person to the Trauma Center of the Torrette hospital in Ancona where the worker is hospitalized.

The man underwent all the necessary tests. The carabinieri and the staff of the prevention and safety service in the workplaces of the Ast of Ascoli also arrived at the place where the accident at work occurred to carry out investigations and ascertain the exact dynamics of the serious accident
