A real miracle. Try to imagine the scene: there is a five-year-old girl who falls from the fifth floor and a 37-year-old boy, an employee who was taking a walk with his girlfriend, catches her. Saving her life. Movie stuff, right Absolutely not. It really happened in Turin on Saturday 26 August 2023.

The incredible event took place on the morning of Saturday 26 August 2023 in via Nizza 389, on the outskirts of Turin. Here Mattia Aguzzi, 37, was walking with his girlfriend Gloria Piccolo when she heard a boy leaning out of a balcony calling for help. Opposite him, on the fifth floor of the building opposite, was a little girl on the ledge.

According to what has been reconstructed, the girl was at home with her parents when she went out onto the balcony and looked out dangerously, losing her balance. She held on for a few seconds, just long enough for someone to sound the alarm and alert Mattia, who fortunately was down there and risked his own safety to save the little girl.

Rescuers arrived at the scene immediately. The little girl, after a moment of silence, started crying, thus reassuring everyone. She has been taken to the hospital but she is out of danger. Mattia was also taken to the CTO for a suspected chest and arm trauma, but he’s fine. And he won’t forget this day easily…
