In Rho, haywire traffic following a collision between a 50-year-old Russian woman (with an alcohol content of 2.83) and a hearse carrying a body

She got behind the wheel after drinking way too much and made a mess. An incident that certainly attracted the attention of many occurred on the afternoon of Monday 4 September 2023 in Rho, in the province of Milan. The protagonist is a fifty-year-old Russian woman, with a blood alcohol content of 2.83 (over five times the legal limit of 0.5), who has rear-ended… a hearse.

Milan: drunk driving hits a hearse
The accident took place around 5 pm at the Mazzo di Rho roundabout at via Buonarroti. The woman, a fifty-year-old Russian who had left Emilia Romagna for Malpensa, first hit a “panettone” that borders the road and then, as Prima Milano Ovest recounts, she crashed into a hearse that was passing at that moment on the road and that he was carrying a body.

The clash was almost head-on. The Lancia Y was destroyed at the front, while the hearse was hit on the driver’s side. Fortunately there were no injuries, but the most significant consequences were those on traffic, as it was almost rush hour with many commuters ready to get home from work.

As per practice, the appropriate investigations were carried out on the woman with the alcohol test carried out by the Rho Local Police, which made it possible to discover that she had a blood alcohol content of 2.83, almost six times over the permitted limit.

The woman was then charged with driving while intoxicated, with the withdrawal of her license.
