Last July 4th, while they were riding a bicycle, the two boys had an accident. Her boyfriend, Leonardo Brown, left on July 12th

Two and a half months in the resuscitation department of Cisanello, in Pisa. Emma Genovali, 20 years old, didn’t make it. The accident in Darsena, in Viareggio, on 4 July, which occurred while the two were on board an electric bike and on which clear reconstructions are still awaited, first took away the girl’s boyfriend, Leonardo Brown, who died last 12 July and, today, after two months of struggle, the twenty-year-old from Viareggio also passed away.

The young woman’s aunt made the announcement on Facebook, with a touching message: “Our Emma – writes Vania Grazioli, the young woman’s maternal aunt – found her sun this morning and reached it, leaving us… It’s like this beautiful that he kept her with him to still illuminate every day of our lives. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.” Signed by Emma’s family.

Hundreds of condolences have already arrived on social media, after the hope of all of Versilia was extinguished today with Emma’s farewell. “We were all clinging to the hope of being able to see her again” someone writes, “you hoped and prayed so much for her to be saved, you are in my heart” writes yet another.

A few days ago, Emma’s father had posted a photo of the twenty-year-old as a child with a cap on her head. Accompanying the photo is a simple message: “Go little frog soldier”. The memory of Leonardo Brown’s mother, Manuela, also arrived on Facebook, posting a photo of the two and writing: “Leo&Emma together forever. Don’t ask me anything else.”
