The earthquake was localized by: INGV-OV Operations Room (Naples).



THE SHOCK OF TODAY AFTERNOON
The Vesuvian Observatory communicated to the Phlegraean administration of a seismic event of magnitude 2.2 ± 0.3 located near the aeronautical academy. The earthquake occurred on Sunday 24 September at 1.53pm local time, at a depth of 0.49 km. The event may have been accompanied by a roar felt by the inhabitants of the areas close to the epicentre.

THE OTHER EARTHQUAKE SHOCKS
Yesterday the Vesuvian Observatory communicated to this administration the conclusion of the seismic swarm that began at 11.15 pm on 09/22/2023 and was preliminarily made up of 54 earthquakes with magnitude Md ≥ 0.0 and maximum magnitude Md = 2.1 ±0.3 localized in the CAMPI FLEGREI area. Below is the list of localized events with magnitude Md ≥1.0.
