The 53-year-old religious man was on holiday in the Palermo area: an autopsy has been arranged

ISOLA DELLE FEMMINE (PALERMO) – An autopsy has been ordered on the body of the priest Danilo Priori, 53 years old, found dead in the room of a hotel in Isola delle Femmine which he had booked for three nights.

The police are investigating, having carried out some checks before the arrival of the medical examiner for the cadaveric inspection. Priori was a priest of the archdiocese of L’Aquila. The priest was on holiday in Sicily. Don Danilo Priori was seen for the last time the evening before his death. He had returned to his room, he would not have come out nor would he have welcomed anyone into his room.

The employees of the accommodation facility who had entered the room for cleaning would have noticed the presence of the body inside the shower. The Prosecutor’s Office ordered the transfer of the body to the medical institute of the Polyclinic. There were no signs of violence or even signs of forced entry.
