ANCONA – Countering gender violence, the Ancona police station Personal defense training courses have been scheduled for the next quarter together with the “Personal Defense Academy” sports association, aimed at female workers who are potentially subject to verbal or physical threats. One meeting in particular, of a theoretical nature, will be carried out with the help of specialized personnel from the Prevention Measures Office of the Anti-Crime Police and will focus on the instrument of the Police Commissioner’s Warning.
Some professions, as also reported in the news and national media, often appear to be the subject of violence or threats: professional nurses and emergency room doctors, magistrates, lawyers, teachers, psychologists, social workers and community educators.
The courses on personal defense will be carried out using defense techniques to counter aggression and ensure safety which do not require particular physical strength. The instructors belong to Administration personnel currently on duty at the police station.
Assistant Ippolito Ivan: 1st dan black belt instructor – International ASI DO Ju-Jitstu, expert in Kick Boxing, Karate Kyokushinkai, Krav Maga and Wing Chun and 1st level instructor of the “Global self-defense method recognized by the Ministry of the Interior.
Assistant Chief Coordinator Gramazio Andrea in service at the Anti-Crime Police Office, master and 3rd dan black belt in JUDO and JIU-JITSU and 2nd level instructor of the “Global self-defense method” recognized by the Ministry of the Interior.
Deputy Inspector Ardizzone Marco: amateur boxer with 15 boxing matches behind him and experience and knowledge of the discipline of Shotokan Karate and Brazilian jujitsu.
Participation in the course will be free of charge, with the exception of the payment of an insurance fee in case of accidents.
The staff is also qualified in First Aid and therefore would be able, if necessary, to perform maneuvers in full awareness, in addition to the fact that there is a defibrillator inside the gym. The Police Commissioner of Ancona: “A small contribution to increase the safety of women and make them feel the concrete and real closeness of the State Police, to always be there, but above all first”
