This is what the deputy mayor of the Doric capital expressed himself this morning regarding the appointment of the new commander, Ivano Caglioti. «Reorganized body, more present and strengthened: the Doric Local Police must not be left behind

ANCONA – «A modern, efficient and operational Local Police, with a dynamic and effective body equipped with all the tools. The Local Police of Ancona must not lag behind the other local police forces in our country.” This is how the deputy mayor and councilor for PL and Security, Giovanni Zinni, spoke this morning regarding the appointment of the new commander of the Local Police of Ancona. Yesterday, in fact, the mayor of Ancona Daniele Silvetti had signed the decree appointing the new head of the body, identified in the figure of Lieutenant Colonel Marco Ivano Caglioti.

The administrative procedure for the appointment of the new commander of the Local Police had been started quickly and the Commission had worked in full autonomy to evaluate the requirements of the announcement pursuant to art. 110, paragraph 1, Legislative Decree no. 267/2000 (Consolidated law on the organization of local authorities) regarding the 37 applications submitted. Having examined the requirements, only 24 candidates were admitted to the interviews. Among those admitted, the Commission had identified a shortlist of five names to present to the mayor for the choice of the new head of the Doric Local Police.

«The time taken in the choice – stated the deputy mayor Zinni – was given by the importance of the assignment in relation to a vision of reorganization of the Corps, of the improvement of the service and of the request for a greater presence of agents in the territory by the citizens . Optimizations and enhancements that will be pursued following the discussion that will take place in the first instance with the workers and the trade unions. He is certainly a figure of guarantee and we are convinced that together with and with all the operators of the Doric Local Police we can build a new project for a modern, efficient and operational force”.

Our idea – concludes Zinni – is to bring the Doric Local Police to the level of the other bodies present in the capital city of Italy, and this happens through the coverage of all the services and all the skills that the officers have: from public security to Judicial Police up to road control and this can only be done with a trained, efficient body equipped with all the tools. We will then have an open and peaceful discussion with the unions. But there is only one watchword: the Local Police of Ancona must not be left behind.”
