The defeat against Parma is already a memory. In Sinigaglia’s crazy match, Cremonese beat Moreno Longo’s Como 3-1, who again with Cutrone as protagonist saw two goals canceled and missed a penalty. The former Milan striker scores the temporary 1-2 but it’s not enough, Stroppa’s team advances with a brace from striker Coda (seven goals in seven Serie B games) and Okereke’s solo action. In the history of the grey-reds, two successes in a row had never come in Serie B at the home of their rivals (the last previous one was the 1-2 in May 2022 with a brace from Di Carmine). Now the ranking says Como sixth with 14 points and Cremonese seventh with 13. In Cesena, a goalless draw (but with two posts and a crossbar) between Spezia and Pisa. The Tuscans remain unbeaten away against the Ligurians as had happened in the previous four matches and are now 13th with 9 points. The Ligurians are 16th with 6 points. Serie B returns between 21 and 23 October, after the national break.

COMO-CREMONESE 1-3 — In Como Cremonese started strong, taking to the field with a completely opposite approach to that of a week ago at Zini against Parma. After a goal disallowed by the VAR to Cutrone (offside at the moment of Verdi’s through ball), Stroppa’s team took the lead in the 16th minute following a penalty from Coda (Perenzoni confirmed it after checking the VAR) because Ioannou widened his arm too much in the area in the contrast with Bianchetti. Cremo plays with a high center of gravity and attacks, Como often has difficulty in possession and in the 32nd minute they take the 2-0 from Okereke (first goal of the season). The former Venezia player is good at intercepting a pass from Curto, speeding past Odenthal and unloading a violent shot under Semper’s legs. Only in the final stages did Longo’s team wake up from its torpor and find the 2-1 thanks to the Verdi-Cutrone duo, but the attacker (offside) deflected the former Torino’s beautiful counter-ball shot from outside, thus nullifying the goal of the former Torino player. 1-2. To make up for it, however, Cutrone had to wait for the start of the second half (52′) when he received a pass from Ioannou, resisted Majer and beat a guilty Sarr at the near post. After Bellemo crosses the top corner, everything happens at Sinigaglia: Coda crosses the ball on the counterattack and makes it 3-1 in the 63rd minute, then Lochoshvili knocks down Chajia just outside the area and gets the red card for a last-man foul. Perenzoni confirmed everything to the VAR, as he did shortly afterwards when he conceded a penalty to Como in the 72nd minute due to Tsadjout bringing down the same Moroccan midfielder, but Sarr redeemed himself by blocking Cutrone’s shot. The last gasp of a crazy game.
