Fearful morning in Paris where the police allegedly shot a woman who threatened to blow herself up inside the subway.

WOMAN THREATENES TO BLAST HERSELF IN PARIS— According to French media reports such as Le Figaro and Le Parisien, on the morning of Tuesday 31 October a completely veiled woman started shouting Allah Akbar while praising terrorism in the Bibliotheque François Mitterand metro station. The station was evacuated and remained closed until 11am on the morning of October 31st. The police apparently shot the woman who was hit in the stomach and is now in hospital in a stable and non-life-threatening condition. Naturally, panic broke out among the various passengers present who called the police before fleeing. Several confirmed that the unknown woman threatened to blow herself up and shouted Allah Akbar.

STOPPED BY THE POLICE— The metro station was evacuated quickly, following the indications of the Vigipirate anti-terrorism plan. The police were on early alert as the woman was on board a train and had started threatening other passengers along the way. The first report had come from the Val de Marne stations. When the police arrived at the Bibliotheque François Mitterand station, the woman was isolated and when she refused to obey the police, continuing to threaten to blow herself up, one of the officers fired to stop her. The police reportedly fired a single shot to stop her. Now two investigations have been opened, one entrusted to the police for condoning terrorism and death threats against a public official, the other for the use of a firearm by the agent, entrusted to internal surveillance.
