Dramatic accident during a hunting trip: a 45-year-old from Roccadaspide, in the province of Salerno, is miraculously alive after being attacked by a wild boar and being injured in the leg. The animal, as Il Messaggero says, suddenly targeted the man. The blows were apparently inflicted on him in various parts of his body, but the most serious wound was the one the hunter suffered on his leg, with a large loss of blood. The events occurred yesterday in Mainardi di Aquara. Here the man and his companions, members of an organized local team, had arrived with hunting authorization. The attack by the wild boar apparently occurred during the patrol of the area and conditions arrive in hospital
the 45-year-old apparently bent over, throwing himself to the ground, due to the strong pain, while the animal continued to hit him in the legs and other points of the body. The first aid came from hunting companions, who first alerted 118 and then decided not to wait for the ambulance to arrive for fear that the wild boar’s shots could have severed their companion’s femoral artery. Hence the decision to take him immediately to the Roccadaspide hospital, where the doctors placed around 80 stitches to close the wound on the man’s leg. Fortunately, the hunter is now out of danger and has been released from hospital.
