The tragedy occurred at night and the lifeless body was discovered around 2am

He was 25 years old and was supposed to defend his degree thesis a few hours later. Yet, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, the young man decided to take his own life and after leaving a note to his parents in which he described his intentions, he threw himself from one of the arches of the Carolingian aqueduct, in the Caserta area, in Valle di Maddaloni.

According to what was reported by Caserta News, the tragedy occurred at night and the lifeless body was discovered around 2am. After the alarm, Maddaloni’s carabinieri arrived on the scene, led by Captain Raffaele Di Donato.

The story
A few hours before the suicide, the parents had found a note left by the young man in which he stated his intention to end it. For this reason, his mother and father had reported his disappearance and the alarm raised triggered the intervention of the police.

Unfortunately, the complaint was not enough to prevent the young man from taking his own life and investigations are currently underway, starting with tracking his movements before the jump via security cameras.

From what has emerged, the boy arrived at the arches in his car and left it there with the four arrows on. At around one in the morning, he jumped, and around two, passers-by found his body in the street.

The community is in shock at the event and rallies around the family. The incident, once again, invites everyone to reflect on the importance of mental health and the need to establish measures that can help prevent similar episodes.
