The body of Giovanna Pedretti was recovered on the banks of the Lambro this afternoon. The restaurateur, who ended up at the center of a controversy in recent days, left home early without giving any more news about herself. The woman appears to have arrived on site aboard her Fiat Panda, now seized by investigators. At the moment no hypothesis has been formulated as to the cause of her death, but it cannot be ruled out that it could be suicide.

In recent days, the Le Vignole pizzeria in Pedretti had ended up in the news following a review that appeared on TripAdvisor in which a customer criticized the place for the presence of homosexual people and a disabled person at a table. Harsh words to which the owner herself responded.

«Look – Giovanna had explained to Ansa between one command and another after the criticisms – I usually don’t respond to reviews but when I saw these words, I thought that the mother of a disabled boy could read them and the Brembana valley that c ‘it has overflowed in me…’. A clear stance also appreciated by the Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli. The review, from this summer, was then deleted but the woman had kept the screenshot with the criticism and her response and had published it on the pizzeria’s Facebook page. From there she went around the internet. Some had questioned her version, even speculating that she had written the offending review herself.
