The truth is that since there have been devices with which we can portray ourselves and publish ourselves on social media anywhere and under any circumstances, vanity and exhibitionism have literally taken possession of our souls. But last Thursday morning, in Piacenza, something happened that shows how not even the most expert exorcists could free us from the curse of the selfie. Around eleven in the morning, in via Colombo, there was a fatal accident involving a car and a bicycle. The woman who was behind the wheel of her Peugeot, 73-year-old Daniela Guerra, died in the ambulance ride to the hospital.
