Otumfoɔ Kyeame, Baafoɔ Gyaakye Amoaten started the customary Advice to the incoming Monarch, to the gathering of Nana Asantehemaa; Kumase Abrempɔn; Nananom Amanhene, and implicitly Asanteman.
After this swearing-in or Nsuaeɛ, the Candidate became KUMASEMAN HENE, and de facto (in fact) Asantehene.

Additional Rites are conducted in secrecy with the Amanhene before Asanteman Sika Dwa.
It is followed by the Amanhene invoking the Otumfoɔ Ntamkɛseɛ to Swear to Him in public. That makes the Kumasemanhene, the new Asantehene de jure (by law and rightful entitlement).
Additional Rites are also performed by the new Asantehene at Kumase Pampaso featuring the Busumuru Afena, and other regalia.
After all this He wears Batakari Kɛseɛ with full battle-tested regalia, to display his mastery of ETUO (Gun) and also to show he is adept at leading us into battle, if need be.
We Are Ready, All The Time.
Sɛe Tu Nkwaso.
Otumfoɔ Ɔsɛe Tutu Ababio, ƆPEMSOƆ; yɛsrɛ Onyame Pa de ma Wo.
