A new page opens in the eternal struggle between North Korea and South Korea and this time the weapons used are quite particular.

Apparently, North Korea is not only involved in the launch of missiles and satellites, because it recently launched another ploy against its neighbor, South Korea. According to what was reported by some soldiers in Seoul, the North Korean forces launched more than 150 garbage-filled balloons across the border.

North Korea starts a real “Dirty War”
Over 150 rubbish-filled hot air balloons carrying plastic bottles, batteries, shoe parts and even manure. This is the new strategy used by North Korea to counter the anti-Pyongyang leaflets that are sporadically thrown by South Korean activists towards the North

According to what was reported by the Seoul military, these “junk bombs” reached North Korea around the night of Tuesday 28 May. The balloons crossed the border and then reached various areas of the country up to South Gyeongsang province, where they exploded to drop their load of rubbish.

Apparently, however, this is not the first time that North Korea has used such a tactic, similar episodes had already occurred between 2016 and 2018.
