At least that’s what a high-level Israeli diplomatic source, who remained anonymous, told Channel 12. According to the source, Israel went “as far as possible” with its current proposal for an agreement and now “the ball is in the Hamas field.”

If Hamas does its part, Israel will stop the war on the time of the agreement, as well as the release of all the hostages,” the source continued, noting, however, that Qatar and Egypt, two of the mediating countries, do not have sufficient influence over the head of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, to persuade him to accept the proposal. Dozens killed in Gaza City raids
