That’s the heart of the Gospel! Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a sinless life, and willingly went to the cross to die for our sins, so that we might have eternal life and a personal relationship with God. As He said in John 12:27:
“Now my soul is troubled. And what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.”
Jesus’ death and resurrection provide:
- Forgiveness: Our sins are forgiven, and we’re reconciled to God.
- Redemption: We’re freed from the power of sin and death.
- Justification: We’re declared righteous before God.
- New life: We receive eternal life and a new nature.
- Access to God: We can now approach God with confidence.
As Romans 5:8 says:
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus’ sacrifice was an act of love, grace, and mercy, offering us a gift we couldn’t earn or deserve. May we forever cherish and share the truth of His amazing love!
