A good leader is someone who:

  1. Serves: Prioritizes the well-being and growth of their team members.
  2. Inspires: Motivates and encourages others to work towards a shared vision.
  3. Empowers: Delegates responsibilities and trusts others to make decisions.
  4. Communicates: Listens actively and communicates clearly, honestly, and respectfully.
  5. Leads by example: Demonstrates integrity, humility, and a strong work ethic.
  6. Makes informed decisions: Thinks critically, seeks wisdom, and considers diverse perspectives.
  7. Takes responsibility: Owns mistakes, learns from them, and holds themselves accountable.
  8. Fosters a positive culture: Creates a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes growth and well-being.
  9. Adapts and innovates: Embraces change, seeks new ideas, and innovates to stay ahead.
  10. Puts the greater good first: Prioritizes the organization’s mission and values over personal interests.

Good leaders can be found in various contexts, including business, politics, community service, or religion. Ultimately, a good leader is someone who serves with integrity, compassion, and wisdom.

As Jesus taught in Mark 10:42-43:

“You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
