Jacob Dickson Quits Boxing After Opponent’s Death
Ghanaian boxer Jacob Dickson has announced that he is stepping away from boxing following the tragic death of his opponent, Bahubali, who passed away two weeks after their bout.
According to the Greater Accra-based boxer, the incident has left him deeply traumatized, and he is now considering switching to a more profitable and less risky profession.
“I have fought many boxers in my career. I started when I was 14 years old, and what happened to Bahubali has never happened to any of my opponents. This is the first time I have faced such an encounter,” he said.
Dickson added that even if he ever makes a return to the ring, he would need extensive therapy before regaining his old self.
