Ayawaso Central MCE nominee Alhaji Mohammed Quaye gets 100% approval

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee for Ayawaso Central in the Greater Accra Region, Alhaji Mohammed Quaye has received 100% approval, Modernghana News can confirm.

Assemblymembers in the various municipalities of the region have today commenced the processes to either reject or approve the nominees made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

At the Ayawaso Central Municipality today, elections have concluded smoothly with the nominee, Alhaji Mohammed Quaye receiving massive endorsement from all the 17 assembly members that voted.

“I am grateful for your cooperation. Now we have assembly members, 17 eligibility voters and at the end of it all the 17 said yes to the president’s nominee.

“On behalf of the electoral commission and the powers granted by the constitution, I nearby declare the president’s nominee Alhaji Mohammed Quaye as the MCE elected for Ayawaso Central,” John Mensah, the Municipal Electoral Officer for the Municipality declared after the elections.

Addressing the assemblymembers after the declaration, Alhaji Mohammed Quaye has assured that he will work hard to bring development to the area.

The MCE elect for Ayawaso Central said his administration will be accountable and will at all times cooperate with stakeholders to promote inclusion and effective work.

“I will ensure Development, progress are brought to this municipality. To achieve this I will continue to introduce more resources to help to improve the assembly revenue mobilization.

“I will like to assure you of a transparent and accountability administration as well as team work in solving the challenges of this Municipality. On this note I call on the assemblymembers and the staff of the assembly to cooperate with me for effective work,” Alhaji Mohammed Quaye said.

Later today, there will be voting to confirm or reject Korle Klottey and Ablekuma West MCE nominees respectively.
